Warm-season crops
Warm-season crops need summer heat and die at the first frost: tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, beans, corn, melons. They transplant or sow after soil warms — typically 1–2 weeks past the last frost — and every day of hesitation shortens the harvest window.
